Designers of short-range RF applications, like remote keyless entry, automatic meter reading, home automation, toys, and alarm and security systems can now integrate a true single-chip, low-power CMOS, multi-channel, single-chip RF transmitter.

Made by Chipcon, primarily for the 315, 433, 868 and 915 MHz SRD bands, the CC1050 combines high integration, flexibility and very low current consumption.

Featuring programmable frequency from 300-1000 MHz the transmitter needs very few external components, has a low supply voltage of 2.1 to 3.6 V, FSK data rates up to 76.8 Kbps and programmable output power ranging between -20 to 12 dBm.

Its programmable frequency in 250 Hz steps with crystal temperature drift compensation is possible without using external TCXO. It suits multi-channel systems and frequency hopping protocols with single-port antenna connection.

The unit is a small, 24 pin TSSOP package that complies with EN 300 220 and FCC CFR 47, Part 15.
