Australia's Radlink a finalist in international awards

Australia’s Radlink Communications was awarded finalist status in the ‘Outstanding single-site TETRA installation’ category at the recent International Critical Communications Awards in London.

The company reached the finals for its work on the Treasury Hotel and Casino in Brisbane.

The winners in the various categories were:

  • Best use of TETRA for Public Safety — Frequentis AG, Voice Communication System Bavarian Police G7
  • Best Innovation Award — Finmeccanica, PUMA T4-TLE (Dual Mode TETRA – LTE Enhanced)
  • Best Use of TETRA in Utilities — CLP Power Hong Kong
  • Best use of Control Room Systems — State Secretary of Public Safety Rio de Janeiro, SIRCE-RJ
  • Green Technology Award — Airwave, Reducing carbon emissions and waste through green technology
  • Best Use of TETRA for Transport — Intelligence on Wheels, TETRA-based Train Collision Avoidance System
  • Outstanding Single-site TETRA Installation — Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH, Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group (WB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
  • Best Evolution to Future Broadband — The SALUS consortium
  • Excellence in Radio Sites and Services — Maxxwave
