Airbus TETRA solution links two China airports
Airbus has recently completed installation of a secure TETRA communications technology for Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, Chengdu’s second international airport and one of the five biggest international airports in China with over 50 million passengers in 2019.
The radio communication system includes TB3 base stations and is interconnected with neighbouring Chengdu’s Shuangliu International Airport, which has been using Airbus TETRA solutions since 2013.
The 800 MHz radio communication interconnection between both airports’ TETRA communication systems will allow smoother collaboration between airport staff and safer and seamless logistics, plus ensure the safety of all passengers, visitors and employees in both premises.
