Rescue workers in disaster areas and air and sea passengers are claimed to benefit from a range of mobile communication systems available from Powertec Telecommunications.

The range of mini GSM/CDMA communication systems is produced by American telecommunications company Tecore Wireless Systems and the Rapid Response and FlightCore systems are the most recent additions to Powertec's anytime anywhere range.

The Rapid Response is a wireless GSM/CDMA system that provides immediate mobile voice and data communications in disaster areas where infrastructure has broken down or is sabotaged.

It is said to be suitable for situations when it is not an option to wait for the existing infrastructure to be fixed.

Rapid Response can substitute for a communications network that is not working.

FlightCore is another answer for users who depend on always present mobile coverage.

This is a wireless GSM/CDMA solution that provides internet connection and mobile phone reception for calls and SMS on board ships and aircraft.

When FlightCore is operating on board an aircraft, it basically becomes a flying hot spot as internet access and phone calls are made via the mobile network, so everyone can stay in touch.
