2016 International TETRA Awards
The 2016 International TETRA Awards are coming up, and the organisers are calling for nominations in seven categories.
The awards are designed to recognise excellence in the installation of TETRA radio communications. The wide range of award categories offers opportunities for products, services and solutions of merit across the full range of TETRA activity.
“Just five years ago there was no independent mechanism to recognise TETRA excellence. Today we see an established and recognised global program to celebrate achievements enabled by TETRA technology,” said Phil Kidner, CEO of the TETRA and Critical Communications Association (TCCA).
“The ongoing success of the International TETRA Awards reflects the strength of the industry and the consistently impressive innovation demonstrated by members of the TCCA.”
There are seven award categories:
- Best use of TETRA for public safety
- Best TETRA innovation
- Green TETRA award
- Best use of TETRA for transport
- Best use of TETRA in utilities
- Best single-site TETRA installation
- Best integration of future broadband with TETRA
Entries close on 30 November 2015. A shortlist will be announced in January 2016, with the awards ceremony to take place in London in February.
