The ACMA has released the second discussion paper on the adoption of opportunity cost pricing for apparatus licences for the 400 MHz band.

In the paper, the ACMA proposes to increase apparatus licence taxes to $199/kHz over a five-year period, which is double the current spectrum tax portion of apparatus licensing.

APCO Australasia and ARCIA will both be presenting a response to the paper outlining concerns about the tax and the timeframe of the tax increases.
