Thursday, 30 July, 2015
Cobham Communications and Connectivity is today opening a new facility in Singapore to drive further growth of its business activities across the Asia Pacific market.
The office brings together the Cobham Group’s Antenna Systems, AvComm, SATCOM, Tactical Communications & Surveillance (TCS) and Wireless business units.
The region contributes significant revenues annually, making Asia Pacific one of Cobham’s most important and rapidly expanding markets.
To mark the opening of its new Singapore headquarters, Cobham Communications and Connectivity Sector President Fred Cahill will be joined by the British High Commissioner to Singapore, HE Scott Wightman, and dignitaries from key customers, which include some of the largest public and private sector organisations in the whole of the Asia Pacific region.
“The opening of this facility demonstrates our firm commitment to support organisations in the Asia Pacific market with the latest in wireless technological innovation,” said Cahill.
“This is a key market for Cobham and an area of huge innovation and potential. To meet the needs of our wide customer base in the area, we will continue to develop new products specifically aimed at the unique challenges felt by our local customers.”
“Many of the largest communications companies in the region already utilise the extensive portfolio of products available from the Cobham Group’s Antenna Systems, AvComm, SATCOM, TCS and Wireless businesses,” added Stephen Hire, APAC sales director, Cobham Wireless.
“By ensuring the complete portfolio of solutions and full range of expertise is available from one central location, we have greatly improved our ability to drive our footprint further in the region and build on the tremendous growth we have already achieved.”
