Emergency comms site for north-west NSW
The Public Safety Network (PSN) across the Barwon region has been expanded with the completion of a new site in the town of Bellata located in the Narrabri Shire.
NSW Telco Authority (NSWTA) managing director Kylie De Courteney said the radio site delivered by NSWTA was vital to ongoing community safety: “It is technology which saves lives and by expanding the footprint of this critical infrastructure we are ensuring frontline responders have a more reliable network to help keep people and places safe.”
The NSW Government is investing $1.4 billion to expand the PSN to better protect communities. Next to Australia’s triple zero emergency hotline, the PSN is the most critical communications network in New South Wales.
