Have your say on labelling notice amendments
An amendment exempting members of the Construction and Mining Equipment Industry Group (CMEIG) and the Tractor and Machinery Association (TMA) from the requirement to label a radiocommunications device they supplied has been sought.
ACMA is seeking public comment on a proposal to amend the Radiocommunications (Compliance Labelling – Devices) Notice 2014 (Radiocommunications Labelling Notice) and the Radiocommunications (Compliance Labelling – Electromagnetic Radiation) Notice 2014 (EME Labelling Notice).
Changes would include altering the EME Labelling Notice to exempt FCAI, CMEIG and TMA members from the labelling requirements of that notice. The Radiocommunications Labelling Notice would also be changed to exempt CMEIG and TMA members from the labelling requirements of that notice.
Interested parties are invited to make a submission on the consultation paper by close of business on Friday, 26 May 2017.
The consultation paper, associated material and submission details are on the ACMA website.
