Logic Wireless ANZ appoints new Managing Director

Logic Wireless has announced that Blair Hopkins has been appointed Managing Director of Logic Wireless ANZ, effective 5 September. Over the next few months, Dave Hicks, who along with Scott Heywood founded Logic Wireless in 2004, will assist Hopkins with the transition to his new role.

Hopkins is an experienced telecommunications and management professional, having been educated as an avionics technician by the New Zealand Defence Force. He has previously held roles at several New Zealand technology companies including Tait Communications.

In December 2017, Hopkins joined Logic Wireless as Regional Manager. In November 2021 he became Chief Operating Officer, where he was responsible for managing the New Zealand business.

“We are delighted that Blair has been appointed Managing Director for Logic Wireless ANZ,” Hicks said. “Blair’s commitment, strategic vision and contribution to Logic since he joined the company in 2017 have been exceptional, and we couldn’t be happier with his leadership and management of Logic Wireless’s operations in New Zealand over the last two years. Through the pandemic and other critical regional events, Blair has taken the New Zealand operation to the next level.”

“I’m honoured to have the opportunity to lead the Logic Wireless ANZ team as we continue to build growth across the region,” Hopkins said. “During my time as Chief Operating Officer, I have enjoyed working with our manufacturers and dealer channel in New Zealand and in the Pacific Islands, and I look forward to building on our existing relationships with the dealer network across Australia.”
