MiMOMax awarded for Tornado radio
MiMOMax Wireless has received the Utilities Technology Council (UTC) Impact Award for Hardware.
The award honours the company’s impact on the utility industry through technological innovation.
Announced during the Telecom & Technology 2018 conference in Palm Springs, California, the award is bestowed on UTC member organisations for innovations which improve efficiencies, support sustainability and provide an immediate impact on the industry.
Selected by a panel of utility experts, MiMOMax Wireless received the award for their innovative, bandwidth-efficient Tornado radio. Utilised in a number of large deployments across the globe, the Tornado radio allows utility customers to push the boundaries on what can be achieved with wireless communications in a bandwidth-constrained environment.
“We are delighted to be recognised by this award, celebrating our innovative approach to mission-critical communications. Our customers require a partner who can provide the robust communications network required to operate an efficient, sustainable and modernised grid — this award confirms that we are ideally positioned to meet those needs,” said David Wade, GM for North America.
