Motorola's solution: focus on critical communications
Motorola Solutions has entered an agreement to sell its Enterprise business to Zebra Technologies Corporation for US$3.45 billion cash. The sale was approved by the boards of both companies, and pending approval by regulatory authorities, the sale will be completed by the end of this year. Around 4500 employees are expected to join Zebra on completion of the transaction. Motorola Solutions will retain its iDEN product portfolio and will continue its government business, including its professional commercial radio product portfolio. Motorola will continue to manufacture, design, integrate and deliver voice and data solutions.
