P25 ISSI and CSSI demonstrated at Comms Connect
In conjunction with the Comms Connect conference and exhibition, a presentation and demonstration of P25 System Interconnections has been presented by supporting members of the P25 Solution Centre.
“Multivendor compatibility is a core objective for the P25 suite of digital radio standards to deliver value for money,” said Malcolm Keys, CEO, Airwave Solutions Australia.
“The ISSI and CSSI system interconnections provide more freedom of choice in the procurement process, particularly for system replacement and expansions, and also interoperability for multiple organisations to share their resources more effectively to cooperate across each other’s areas of operation.”
A P25 network with standardised interface support removes the last proprietary link between P25 conventional and trunked networks, allowing organisations to retain future options for interconnection. Key benefits of P25 network interconnection include: multinetwork interoperability for extended coverage, mutual aid and futureproofing, and multivendor procurement for purchasing flexibility and choice.
The live P25 ISSI and CSSI demonstration will be hosted by Mark Ward, Airwave Solutions Australia, joined by the PSC partners supporting the development of the ISSI and CSSI open standards - Auria Wireless, Tait Communications and Zetron.
