RFI acquires Maxon Australia assets
RFI Technology Solutions (RFI) has acquired the assets of Maxon, enabling it to accelerate efforts to deliver the next generation of M2M telemetry and Internet of Things solutions.
This acquisition now sees RFI responsible for the end-to-end production and delivery of the Maxon range to market.
RFI CEO Scott Magee said that it will add “to our technology solutions portfolio by providing us with the technology and resources to progress our plans in the M2M and IoT solutions space”.
“The Maxon brand has represented industry-leading M2M solutions and will be a true complement to our business,” he said.
The Maxon range also provides access to cloud-based 3G and 4G wireless network devices and telemetry solutions. RFI plans to continue the development and release of new generations of the Maxon radios and modem devices supported in the market for almost 30 years.
RFI will also maintain and develop the maXcloud (maXwan, maXvpn and maXconnect) services pioneered by Maxon to provide secure access, control and data services to Maxon devices in the field.
