Sepura completes its acquisition of Teltronic
Sepura has completed the acquisition of Spanish PMR producer Teltronic in a move that the company says will produce a complementary product offering, market reach and geographical remit that will enhance its position as a global provider of critical communications solutions for the PMR market.
The acquisition aims to accelerate the group’s market diversification strategy and enhances its product offering, and technical breadth, while delivering financial enhancement to its shareholders.
Sepura says the enlarged group will aim to command an increased share in its existing vertical and geographical markets, and accelerate its entry into new markets. The combination of Sepura’s solution portfolio and Teltronic’s network infrastructure will also enable the group to achieve leadership in TETRA with a broader infrastructure offering.
“This is a highly complementary and transformational acquisition which will be immediately earnings-enhancing,” said Sepura’s CEO, Gordon Watling. “It brings together two of the market’s fastest growing players to create a leading digital PMR company with a broader offering and significantly enhanced capabilities.
“Teltronic’s business will diversify our geographical reach, growing our footprint in Latin America and strengthening our existing presence in North America, specifically the US; whilst expanding and diversifying our revenue streams accordingly,” added Watling.
“As the number and scale of digital radio networks around the world increases, we will have the breadth of portfolio and financial strength to compete for a significantly larger number of new contracts globally.”
