Simoco’s customer service recognised with ARCIA award
Simoco has been recognised for outstanding customer service at the Australian Radio Communications Industry Association (ARCIA) Industry Excellence Awards 2012, which took place in Melbourne in December 2012. Geoff Syms, Operations Manager at Simoco Australasia, was presented with the Customer Service award.
Syms has over 40 years’ experience in the Australian radio communication industry, working for specialists such as PYE Communications and Phillips before joining ComGroup in 1996. In his role as National Service Manager, Syms was responsible for the national servicing of Simoco products, before being promoted to Victorian branch manager in 2001. In his current position as Operations Manager, Geoff is actively involved in many large-scale system deployments nationally and continues to be a vital part of managing large-scale systems and fleet rentals for events like the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix and International Airshow.
Jonathan Bunce, Group Marketing Director at Simoco, said: “For over 45 years, Geoff has been dedicated to the Australian radio communications industry. He brings with him a passion and hands-on attitude that is contagious for those around him, and his strategic thinking, clear communication and results-focused nature make him a key driver in product development. We are pleased that his dedication and hard work has been recognised by the ARCIA.”
