Tait Communications acquires video tech company m-View
Tait Communications has announced its acquisition of m-View, a video technology company that specialises in safety and evidence products and services.
Headquartered in Melbourne, m-View was founded in 2005 and has a portfolio of video solutions including body-worn cameras, in-car video technology, and a digital evidence management platform with customers across Australia. The technology is set to expand and strengthen Tait’s critical communications ecosystem.
m-View’s body-worn cameras are used in markets from enterprise to public safety. Its in-car communication solution meanwhile includes cameras and broadband connectivity with satellite technology integration. The evidence management system ingests video feeds from any device.
“m-View has a proven video solution that is complementary to Tait Communications’ existing critical communications product portfolio,” said Dr Yoram Benit, Tait Communications CEO and Managing Director. “The integrated platform will benefit our global customer base, sales and channel partners, and strategic technology partnerships.”
m-View will operate as a business unit within Tait Communications, and orders will initially continue through the m-View unit. Based on open standards, the solution will eventually be integrated into Tait Communications’ full portfolio of communications solutions for the public safety, utility, transportation, energy and other critical infrastructure industries.
The acquisition supports Tait’s vision to provide industry-leading communications solutions for its critical communications customers across the world.
