Motorola DMR Tier II for German exhibition centre

Koelnmesse, an exhibition centre in Cologne, has chosen Motorola’s MOTOTRBO Capacity Max DMR Tier III solution for its trunked radio needs.

Installation of the system will replace the extant analog radio infrastructure being implemented in collaboration with Motorola Solutions’ partners AIRadio and NC Plan.

The new radio system will enable secure and reliable voice and data communications for the exhibition centre’s security personnel, facility management and technical teams, including the operation of 150 radios. The technology is designed for next-generation digital trunking demands and will thus meet Koelnmesse’s requirements today and in the future.

“MOTOTRBO Capacity Max blends innovation, user feedback and our extensive real-world experience to deliver a scalable, highly secure trunked radiocommunications solution that perfectly meets the needs of our customers,” said Joerg Baumbach, director of sales Radio Channel Business Central & South Europe, Motorola Solutions Germany GmbH.

“Koelnmesse is one of the most important global trade fair venues with a longstanding history of more than 90 years,” said Ludger Wälken, head of central division at Koelnmesse 3.0.

“The new MOTOTRBO Capacity Max trunked radio system from Motorola Solutions will enable us to meet the changing requirements of our visitors, exhibitors and partners for many years to come. A secure and reliable communications system is the key for the digitalisation of our infrastructure and processes.”
