Wednesday, 04 July, 2007 | Supplied by: GME Pty Ltd

Garmin has released the Fishfinder 400C. This colour unit with a 4" QVGA colour display is driven by a 500 W RMS dual frequency dual beam sonar to depths of 460 m.

UltraScroll updates the screen at live-action speeds that can also be viewed in a true A-scope display for instant sonar data.

It has a streamlined user interface enabling full control of features like whiteline, split zoom display, bottom lock and adjustable depth line. 'Big numbers' display lets the user view several key data parameters at a glance with alarms for fish size, shallow water, deep water, low battery and drift, all configurable.

Plug-and-play CANet bus enables sonar data to be shared with compatible Garmin chartplotter displays.
