Additional features have been included in the GME TX4800 IP67 ingress rated 25 W mobile.

Designed and manufactured in Australia, the radio is aimed at providing reliable communications in the harshest Australian environments

Both the UHF and VHF models now have a 500-channel capacity that is programmable over 50 channel zones. This zoning and an expanded display will allow alpha tagging with nine digits a zone.

Other features include: coverage from 450-520 MHz (UHF) and 148 -174 MHz (VHF); multi-trunk or signal strength voting standard; 25 W switchable to or 5 W; full built-in tone signalling - CTCSS, DCS and multi-tone selcall formats; alphanumeric dot matrix LCD display - channel and selcall display; seven programmable soft keys; 40 selcall memories; full die-cast chassis and metal mounting bracket; tri-colour backlighting; ingress protected to IP 67.

With a flash upgradeable microprocessor and the multi-format calling options, the unit can integrate into most feature-enhanced PMR radio networks.
