Leankon’s LK1860101 NFC antenna offers high performance in a compact form factor of 20 x 0.17 mm, operating at 13.56 MHz. This makes it suitable for applications such as wearables, healthcare devices, access control systems and asset tracking.
A standout feature of the antenna is its ability to operate directly on metal surfaces. By integrating a high-performance ferrite layer, the device mitigates interference from nearby metals — such as device chassis or batteries — enabling communication in environments that typically challenge NFC performance.
The antenna offers two flexible connection options to meet diverse design needs: pogo-pin contacts for quick, spring-loaded assembly in both prototyping and high-volume production; and ACH connectors for secure, vibration-resistant integration in rugged applications.
Another innovation is the use of extended Litz wires, enabling engineers to position the antenna away from the main printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) without significant performance loss. This design flexibility helps achieve optimal antenna placement, particularly in space-constrained devices.
The antenna has been extensively tested with industry-leading NFC ICs, including the NXP PN7160 and STMicroelectronics ST25R3911B. These evaluations provide data on detection distance and system behaviour, confirming smooth integration and compliance with international NFC standards such as ISO/IEC 14443 and ISO/IEC 15693.
