Kathrein is now selling the UMTS/GSM1800 Trisector Pipe antenna that features full remote electrical tilt and special built service area to incorporate a single unit tower mounted amplifier multipack which provides up to 3x double TMAs for the three antennas within the top radome.
Special low profile characteristics provide appearance of less than 1.4 m height and 0.23 m in diameter.
The unit can also be configured as a pseudo omni antenna rather than a traditional three-sector arrangement via the use of two optional power dividers in the service area.
Three independent antennas are built inside, positioned in a 120° grid. The overall design allows the addition of remote electrical down tilt by mounting remote control units in the service zone and it also offers enough space to mount three double TMA multipacks in the zone.
A total of three RCUs, three DTMAs as one multipack MPTMA, six jumper cables, three RET control cables and, if required, two splitters can be mounted inside the zone.
The antenna is split into two sections. The upper section with a length of 1.4 m incorporates three independent antennas. The lower section, called the service zone, has a length of 0.93 m and offers enough room to mount all the accessories.
From outside, the service-zone is available by pushing up the cover.
The antenna mounts on a 'two-piece-flange' that allows the Trisector Pipe to be rotated by 360° as long as the jumper cables are not connected to the RF connectors.
