Cutter Electronics has released the Comus high powered tilt switch that uses dual contacts to ensure long life.

It is claimed to be the only 'environmentally friendly' tilt switch, containing no hazardous materials.

It is a direct replacement for a 1 A mercury tilt switch and is suitable for high capacity applications.

Specifications include: nylon 66 housing; switching capabilities: 1.5 VDC - 60 VDC max, switching current 0.1 A min to 1.0 A max; 12 VA max tungsten load, 14 VA max resistive load; operating temp: -25°C min + 80°C max.
