The Simoco field encryption programmer (FEP) is TMC Radio’s latest P25 key management tool, supplementing the P25 key manager software (KMS) application to provide easy field update of encryption keys while still maintaining the highest level of security.
They support both P25 DES and 256-bit AES encryption types. Keys generated on the KMS can be quickly downloaded to the FEP with the press of a single hot key.
The FEP can then be deployed in the field by an operator to update or change the key tables of the P25 SRM9000 and SRP9100 series radios.
Encryption of all data ensures that keys cannot be read or altered when downloaded to the FEP plus there is the added security of PIN protection of the application itself.
