Hioki has released the 8860/61 HiCorder series of combined digital oscilloscopes and data loggers.

The series can be used simultaneously for high speed (20 MSa/s) signal acquisition and down to 50 ms scan-time logging across 16 channels. It can be controlled via graphical interface and mouse as well as external keyboard and data files can be uploaded to networked PCs via FTP or via web server for remote control.

An optional factory-installed thermal printer (A4 or A6) is available.

The series are modular, the 8860 having four slots for input modules (16 high-speed oscilloscope channels max or 64 data logger channels, or combinations such as eight high-speed oscilloscope channels and 32 data logger channels); and the 8861 with eight slots (32 high-speed oscilloscope channels or 128 data logger channels, or combinations, eg: 16 high-speed oscilloscope channels and 64 data logger channels).

Both have, in addition to the analog inputs, 16 logic channels.

A large variety of analog input modules is available including 12- and 16-bit, high-resolution, dual-channel voltage modules as well as FFT, strain, charge-sensitive, thermocouple, frequency-to-voltage converters and clamp-on current modules. In addition, high-voltage differential probes are available for inverter output and power line noise measurement.
