Vector network analyser

Rohde & Schwarz is further expanding its network analyser portfolio to higher frequencies. The R&S ZVA50 claims to be the world's first four-port network analyser up to 50 GHz.

Featuring two integrated sources, the analyser makes it possible for the first time to perform measurements on multiport and balanced components in this frequency range using a single instrument.

It combines the firmware, operating ease and high measurement speed uniformly implemented in the R&SZVA, R&SZVB, and R&SZVT with RF characteristics, a wide scope of functions and flexibility.

The R&SZVA series is suitable for measurements in the lab and in production — from filter measurements calling for maximum dynamic range to linear and nonlinear measurements on (power) amplifiers, mixers, as well as receivers and transceivers.

In addition, the second integrated source of the R&S ZVA50 eliminates the external generator usually required for intermodulation and mixer measurements. This significantly simplifies operation and test set-up. Moreover, the integrated source sweeps the frequency range to be analysed 10 times faster than external solutions and increases measurement throughput.
