Wireless meter monitoring

Halytech has released a utility meter monitoring system suitable for industries such as water, gas, electricity and many other types of meters.

Low cost wireless transmitters are attached to individual meters. Multiple transmitters send their information to a single Spider SMS data logger/communications device. Transmitters can be located hundreds of metres from the data logger. The link does not rely on line of sight as communication through multiple concrete walls and floors is readily achievable.

Each transmitter is powered by an internal battery with a service life of up to 10 years.

Spider SMS is a compact, single box data logger that includes all software, hardware and a mobile phone module (both GSM and NextG types are available). It offers many advanced communications options for data download including browser, SMS, email and FTP.
