Thales provides communications for Doha's new Metro
Thales Group has successfully delivered a suite of solutions for the Doha Metro, including Communications Based Train Control signalling, communications and security, and a fully integrated operational control centre.
The company is part of a Metro consortium that includes Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Corporation, Hitachi and Kinki Sharyo Co.
When completed, the Doha Metro will have a total operational length of 76 kilometres across three lines, 84% of which is underground, and 37 stations.
Thales is also providing a fully integrated solution for supervision, telecommunication and security for the Lusail Tram Project in Qatar.
