GME has developed the TX4800 25 W VHF waterproof commercial radio. The overall chassis is 70 mm deep, making the TX4800 possibly the smallest 25 W VHF commercial radio in Australia.
Using the full diecast chassis and large rear cooling fins, this design dissipates the heat generated by the 25 W output power while providing a rugged and robust radio.
The Australian designed and made radio has coverage from 148 to 174 MHz with 124 channel capacity. It is also waterproof to IP 67.
Features of the radio include: multi-trunk or signal strength voting standard; 5 or 25 W power; full built-in tone signalling - CTCSS, DCS and multi tone selcall formats; alphanumeric dot matrix LCD - channel and selcall display; seven programmable soft keys; 40 selcall memories; full diecast chassis and metal mounting bracket; tri-colour backlighting.
