Select Fabricators Select-A-Shield RF/EMI shielding pouches

Select Fabricators Select-A-Shield RF/EMI shielding pouches shield portable transceivers from RF and microwave interference and/or emissions. The shielding pouches are manufactured with a double layer of conductive silver/copper/nickel RoHS-compliant material. The base material has an average shielding effectiveness of -85 dB in the range of 30 MHz to 1 GHz and an average -80 dB in the range of 1–11 GHz.

Lightweight and flexible, these pouches are made to attenuate and reflect signals from entering or leaving electronic devices. They prevent cell phones, PDAs, smartphones, laptops and GPS units from logging on to an active network, as well as preventing access to their internal data from an external transceiver.

According to the company, field tests have shown 99.99% average signal attenuation for the product. Standard sizes for many electronic devices are available. Custom sizes range from 1.5″ x 3″ to 48″ x 48″. It is also available in a selection of styles and outer layer colours with several options.
