The GPS 5 series of square antennas with a side length of 35 mm and a height of 16.5 mm are among the smallest on the market. They are available in three different versions: for mounting with screws, magnets or adhesive tape.

The antennas receive the GPS frequency 1.575 GHz. The antenna gain is 2.0 dB with an amplification of more than 26 dB. The antenna amplifier is designed for operating voltages of 3 to 5 V and is therefore suitable for the latest GPS receivers. The antennas can, depending on the version, either be attached to the body of the vehicle or to the inside of the windscreen. The antenna is connected to the GPS receiver using a 150 cm coaxial cable with SMB-female connector.

As accessories, Hirschmann Electronics offers extension cables (300 and 500 cm) with other connector types including Fakra. This allows the antennas to be connected to all commonly used navigation systems or telematics devices.

Typical applications include satellite navigation, fleet management or vehicle locating systems.
