Kitty Mau named Victorian Industry Professional of the Year
The Australian Radio Communications Industry Association’s (ARCIA) Victorian Sundowner was held on the evening of Thursday, 19 September at the Rogue Squire establishment in Wheelers Hill. One has to wonder whether the name rang a bell with our treasurer, Andrew Wyborn, when he was looking for a suitable venue for the event!
The venue, refurbished from the old Wheelers Hill hotel, proved to be a great location and many of our Victorian members came along for the evening’s networking and for the presentation of the Victorian Industry Professional of the Year Award.
There were many nominations for the award, and Kitty Mau of Icom, announced as the winner, was a popular choice.
Kitty, who has been with Icom since 2002, has fulfilled many roles before taking on her present position as a dealer manager. Because of her long background with the company, Kitty is able to support her dealers with excellent product information, as well as being a very personable representative of the company, with all her dealers speaking of her in glowing terms.
Kitty will now be the Victorian nominee for the prestigious Peter Wallace Award for the Australian Industry Professional of the Year at the ARCIA’s Gala Dinner in November.
