AceComms, a provider of radio communications solutions, has announced a partnership with Hitachi Energy to distribute cutting-edge industrial internet products across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. These solutions are targeted towards sectors such as oil and gas, transport, utilities, mining and public infrastructure.

Established in 2003, AceComms has a network of over 220 partners throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. With Hitachi Energy’s wireless solutions already operational on a global scale, AceComms aims to fortify its presence in key domestic markets by offering industrial internet solutions that meet the evolving needs of industry.

Industrial internet is set for substantial growth, with forecasts from Technavio indicating an annual growth rate of 7.59% through to 2028. Recognising this trend, AceComms secured the new agreement with Hitachi Energy to integrate industrial internet alongside its existing radio communications business. The drive towards industrial internet stems from the need for businesses to have real-time reliable monitoring of equipment, which can improve productivity, efficiency and overall visibility.

“The market is poised to embrace industrial internet, and AceComms sees Hitachi Energy as a strong strategic partner in driving growth around the IIoT space,” said Kevin Cuyler, Managing Director of AceComms.

Pierre Clement, Sales & Marketing Manager, Grid Automation APAC at Hitachi Energy, added, “Thanks to this new business relationship, AceComms will allow Hitachi Energy to contribute towards the evolving landscape of energy transition and digitalisation in Australia.”
