ACMA's RadComms 2013 coming up
The Australian Communications and Media Authority’s annual RadComms spectrum conference will be held in Sydney at the beginning of October 2013.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘4G and beyond’. Discussions will centre on the question of whether there really is a ‘spectrum crunch’ in the offing. Also discussed will be the issue of whether the spectrum’s true value is being evaluated correctly and how the most innovate use might be made of spectrum fragments.
Almost 20 high-stature industry and government representatives will give presentations, with the line-up including:
- Dr Jeff Cole, Director and Research Professor, Centre for the Digital Future, University of Southern California Annenberg, who will give the keynote address
- Drew Clark, Secretary, Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy
- Håkan Ohlsén, Director, Spectrum & Radio Technology Strategy, Ericsson
- Darrin Mylet, Business Operations & Regulatory Affairs, Adaptrum
The event will be held at the Australian Maritime Museum, Darling Harbour, Sydney, on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 October 2013. Cost is $740.00 (including GST) and registrations close on 23 September 2013.
