APCO Australasia members get P25 standards
APCO Australasia has announced that the Project 25 Steering Committee has approved for publication the list of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) Series 102 standards approved by the Steering Committee for inclusion in the P25 suite of standards.
At its most recent meeting, the P25 Steering Committee agreed to plan to provide updates to the list of standards on a quarterly basis. The list of P25 standards will be available to APCO Australasia members in the member website.
P25 is a widely adopted standard for interoperable two-way wireless communications. Developed in North America, P25 has gained global acceptance for public safety, security, public service and commercial applications.
Geoff Spring, APCO Australasia Director International Business Development and Strategy, is a P25 Steering Committee Member. Geoff represents the interests of APCO Australasia members and has had a vital role in securing the publication rights.
Further information on P25 is available on the P25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG) website.
