APCOA 2013 call for papers closing soon

APCO Australasia (APCOA) is inviting abstract submissions for those interested in performing a speaker role at the 2013 APCO Australasia Conference and Exhibition, to be held from 12-14 March 2013 in Adelaide.

The event is said to be the largest gathering of public safety communications professionals in the region and incorporates professional development workshops, interactive forums, speaker presentations and an extensive exhibition.

The conference program will include a wide range of speakers including policy makers, public safety agencies, manufacturers, suppliers, researchers, academics and end users.

The theme of the event is ‘Breaking the status quo: freedom to try new thinking’. Speaker presentations will be categorised into one of the following streams:

  • International communications
  • Government networks
  • Next-generation emergency management
  • Mobility solutions
  • Radio communications
  • Technology integration
  • Information sharing
  • Public-private partnerships (PPP)
  • Lessons learnt from recent events
  • Counterterrorism and crime prevention

Standard speaker sessions will be held for a duration of 30 minutes including Q&A. Keynote sessions will be held for 45-60 minutes.

Speakers will receive one full conference registration, including access to the welcome reception and gala dinner, as well as access to the exhibition hall and all speaker sessions.

To make a submission, please complete the call for papers form by the deadline of 31 October. Successful applicants will be notified by 30 November.
