BlueStar, a global distributor of ADC, mobility, point-of-sale, RFID, digital signage and security technology solutions, has announced that Albert Baranera will become president and managing director of BlueStar EMEA.

Baranera most recently served as the company’s vice-president of distribution for Latin America and Southern Europe.

According to president Steve Cuntz, “Mr Baranera has demonstrated his ability to manage the consolidation of BlueStar’s Latin America and Southern European operating units. I strongly believe that his management skills and leadership will accelerate BlueStar’s EMEA efforts to provide resellers with significant channel programs that will increase sales, marketing opportunities and value-added services.”

“It is a privilege to lead the implementation of BlueStar's value-added distribution concepts in EMEA,” said Baranera. “Our in-country resources combined with our global strength will be key to facilitating interaction between manufacturers and the channel.”

Baranera will oversee all operations and development across BlueStar’s EMEA facilities, including locations in the Nordics, Spain, France, Germany, Portugal and the UK.
