ComGroup supports Oxfam event
ComGroup has partnered with Oxfam Australia to supply the radio communications system for Oxfam Trailwalker Melbourne, an annual fundraising activity organised by the charity.
ComGroup will provide 93 radios and associated accessories in support of the event, taking place from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 April 2012.
General manager of ComGroup Alan Clarke said: “We are very proud to be working with Oxfam, supplying the radios and accessories in support of this great event. The funds raised will be used to support the essential work that Oxfam carries out, making a difference to many people’s lives.”
Oxfam Trailwalker is an endurance event in which teams of four attempt to complete a 100 km trail within 48 hours, fostering both teamwork and personal endeavour. ComGroup’s marketing coordinator, Peter Lorenc, will be taking part in the event for the third year in 2012.
Rob Hardy, operations coordinator of the event, said: “Reliable radio communications are vital to the walk’s success and we are delighted to have the support of ComGroup.”
