Comms Connect Adelaide attracts industry cross-section

Just a week before storms knocked out South Australia’s entire energy grid, the state played host to the combined ARCIA industry dinner and Comms Connect Adelaide conference, held at the National Wine Centre.

The power grid failure highlights the importance of having robust critical public infrastructure, a topic of discussion (at least from a security point of view) at the conference.

The conference program covered a wide range of industry sectors and issues, from LMR to LTE, DMR to spectrum matters, transportation communications, the convergence of IT and operational technology, intrinsically safe equipment, and public safety communications.

The conference and industry dinner was attended by dozens of representatives from across the critical communications world, with feedback indicating the audience appreciated the breadth of topics and quality of the speakers.

The next Comms Connect event, and associated ARCIA annual gala industry dinner, will be in Melbourne on 21–23 November.

Here are some photos from the Adelaide event.
