Critical Communications World 2014 date/venue changes
The political situation in Thailand has forced Critical Communications World 2014 organisers to change dates and shift the event to Singapore. It will now take place from 20 to 22 May 2014 at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Organisers say that by moving to Singapore the event will remain in the ASEAN region and be held in a more stable environment conducive to hosting a show on the scale of Critical Communications World.
“It is clear that we need to move away from Bangkok,” said Phil Kidner, CEO of TCCA. “Moving such a large event at this stage in the planning schedule is not easy, but I am confident that IIR have secured the best alternative available. Critical Communications World will remain in the ASEAN region and in the same time frame.”
The organisers say the decision has not been taken lightly and that they considered all options to determine the best course of action, adding that ensuring the best possible attendance at Critical Communications World is the top priority and it had become evident that this would not be the case if the conference were to remain in Bangkok with the ongoing disruption and uncertainty around security.
The full conference program will be available for download shortly from the conference website.
