Frequentis takes majority ownership of Nemergent

Frequentis recently announced it will take a majority holding in Nemergent Solutions S.L., Spain, in July 2026 (up from 25%) and deepening its strategic partnership with Lyfo B.V., Netherlands.

The company says that these initiatives will “substantially strengthen the resilience, capability and operational readiness of the MissionX ecosystem.”

“These partnerships underline our commitment to a best‑in‑class MCX ecosystem,” said Manuel Hintermayr, Frequentis Director Mission Critical Services. “They also confirm our readiness to support large‑scale rollouts, including FRMCS railway programs and nationwide mission-critical networks for public safety agencies, delivering a future‑proof, interoperable and fully European stack.”

Frequentis’ long-standing collaboration with Nemergent and Lyfo already spans almost a decade, including joint contributions to the BroadWay program, BroadPort, and the development of today’s EUCCS (European Critical Communication System / BroadEU.Net). Nemergent’s technology is already a core element of Frequentis MissionX.

“Our established partnership with Frequentis reflects a shared commitment to advancing mission-critical communications in Europe,” said José Oscar Fajardo, CEO of Nemergent. “Over the years, we have combined our expertise to deliver innovative MCX solutions with a strong focus on standards compliance and proven interoperability with major vendor technologies.”

The strategic cooperation between Lyfo and Frequentis is further tightening, building on the hands-on integration of Lyfo’s multi-network switching technology.
