NZ workshops for those looking to become ARCs or AREs
New Zealanders looking to become an Approved Radio Certifier (ARC) or Engineer (ARE) can soon access workshops through Radio Spectrum Management (RSM).
From late January to March 2020, RSM will deliver workshops for ARCs wanting to become AREs, while first time ARC training will be offered from early May to July.
Once qualified, ARCs and AREs will have access to New Zealand’s Register of Radio Frequencies to help clients apply for, certify, modify or cancel a radio or spectrum licence, RSM said.
AREs can also create and provide licence certificates for planned radio licences and spectrum licences while ARCs can create and certify planned radio licences, the regulator added.
Application packs will soon be available via RSM’s website.
