P25 solutions at AFAC conference
Simoco will be attending the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC) conference at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 28 - 31 August 2012. The company, which incorporates ComGroup, will be showing a selection of P25 radio infrastructure, dispatch and terminal vendors as part of the P25 Solution Centre.
Glenn Sneddon, Simoco P25 solutions manager, said, “Simoco sees AFAC as a vital industry forum for ourselves and our customers. We already work with numerous agencies, including the police forces of Victoria and New South Wales, the ambulance services of Victoria and Tasmania and the Victorian State Emergency Services. The conference will enable us to further improve our support for emergency response units throughout the country.”
The theme for this year’s conference is “Diverse country, common ground” and will focus on the different landscapes, climate, population and social networks in Australia and New Zealand; exploring, examining and debating key issues facing the sector.
Sneddon added, “The open standard communication system allows customers to have freedom of choice, flexibility and confidence that their communications will make it through, when it matters most ... we are looking forward to attending the conference and showcasing our experience in P25, especially in mission-critical environments.”
