Richardson RFPD to distribute Ampleon RF technologies
Specialised component distributor Richardson RFPD has announced a global franchise agreement with Ampleon, a manufacturer of RF power technology. The company says the partnership aims to strengthen the supply chain and expand access to high-performance RF solutions for next-generation applications.
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in the Netherlands, Ampleon builds on nearly six decades of expertise in RF power technology. The company develops RF technology leveraging GaN and LDMOS technologies.
Ampleon’s range supports scalable design and production for any volume, serving applications in 4G LTE, 5G NR infrastructure, industrial, scientific, medical, broadcast, navigation and safety radio.
Through the partnership, Richardson RFPD will provide expanded worldwide access to Ampleon’s RF technologies, including:
- LDMOS and GaN RF power transistors
- High-performance RF amplifier modules
- Advanced MMIC solutions
- Application-optimised RF power platforms
Leveraging Richardson RFPD’s technical expertise, the partnership also aims to provide design assistance and support for high-performance RF systems.
