Sepura has appointed Steve Chamberlain as its chief financial officer. Steve is a chartered accountant and has a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacture and management from the University of Birmingham. He has over 15 years’ experience in the technology sector, including time in practice at BDO Stoy Hayward, Arthur Andersen and Deloitte.

He joins Sepura from Autonomy, where he spent the last seven years as vice president, with worldwide responsibility for finance. During his time, Steve played a pivotal role in the successful integration of key acquisitions with a combined value of $2 billion. He also has a track record of driving significant operational improvements within the business, which was sold to HP for $11 billion in 2011.

“I am delighted to be joining Sepura at a time when the company expands its operations in response to the increasing adoption of TETRA technologies. The board has a very clear strategy focused on sectors where secure and reliable communications have to be based on the best solutions available. It’s going to be our job to continue to deliver these solutions,” said Chamberlain.

Speaking of Steve Chamberlain’s appointment, Gordon Watling, CEO for Sepura, said, “Steve is a valuable addition to the team and joins Sepura at an exciting time as we continue to expand our product portfolio and to deliver ever more innovative solutions to meet critical communications needs around the world.
