Sepura finds new UK home for 2016

The Sepura Group has announced the company will be moving to new premises with effect from January 2016.

The company will relocate to ‘Building 9000’ — purpose-designed facilities on the Cambridge Research Park in Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire, in the UK.

Sepura has undergone significant expansion in recent years, acquiring Austrian TETRA infrastructure supplier 3T Communications in 2012, Finnish applications developer Portalify in 2013, UK-based Fylde Micro Ltd in 2014, and Teltronic, a Spanish Professional Mobile Radio company in 2015.

Sepura has signed a 15-year lease for the 6000 m2 site, which has been completely refurbished following a detailed design phase.

The company said the building accommodates new R&D facilities; state-of-the-art meeting and collaboration spaces — enabled with interactive and remote conferencing technology; a product demonstration suite; and testing chambers.

“This is a significant step for the Sepura Group,” said Gordon Watling, Sepura’s CEO.

“Globally, our employee total has more than doubled over the last four years and we are delighted to be moving to a highly cost-effective, tailor-made workspace that reflects our growth and ambition.

“The move demonstrates our long-term commitment to the Cambridge area; it is an investment that will deliver a modern environment for employees, and even higher levels of innovation, efficiency and service for our customers and partners.”

Watling said the company’s new cutting-edge premises will also help attract and retain employment talent that would keep them at the top of the global critical communications market.
