Women in Critical Comms panel to feature at Comms Connect
The 19th edition of Comms Connect Melbourne, being held at MCEC on 15–16 October, will feature the show’s first ever Women in Critical Comms panel session. As more and more women join the public safety and critical communications sectors, this session will explore the pathways, challenges and opportunities that present in an industry that traditionally has been male-dominated.
Telstra’s Head of Enterprise & Radio Networks, Natalie Kolodziej, will moderate the session alongside a group of successful local and international professionals. The panellists are: AMTA CEO Louise Hyland; P25 Technology Interest Group board member Cheryl Giggetts; ACCF Chair Bidar Homsey; NSW Telco Authority’s Executive Director of Emergency Management, Rania Wannous; and Connectivity Innovation Network COO Genie Tan.
On top of the panel, Kolodziej, Hyland, Giggetts and Tan will all be partaking in additional conference presentations based on their areas of expertise. The event will also feature Prospecta Utilities Executive Director Carly Irving-Dolan; NSW Telco General Manager Kylie De Courteney; and Sara Olsson, Project Manager at MSB (Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency).
