Zetron is celebrating 30 years of operation in the Asia-Pacific.

Its headquarters, in Stafford, Brisbane, has seen continued regional sales and revenue growth for the last four years, with business more than doubling over this time.

Founded in 1980 just outside Seattle, in the US, the company began as a small manufacturer of paging systems and base station interfaces.

The company now has a network of authorised resellers and distributors throughout the world. In 2007, Zetron was purchased by Kenwood Corporation and is now a wholly owned subsidiary within JK Holdings, Inc.

Products are manufactured at its Redmond headquarters, with additional design support from a team in Australia.

Products have expanded to include a full range of communications systems, such as the Advanced Communication (Acom) command-and-control system and Voice-over-IP call-taking and radio dispatch systems.

The company has recently increased its presence in Asia by appointing a Singapore-based sales territory manager and it is planned to further increase the Asian presence with additional sales resources based in Hong Kong.
