Zetron participates in 'test drive' centre

Thursday, 23 June, 2011

Zetron is participating with Airwave Solutions Australia and other radio equipment and infrastructure vendors in the new P25 solutions centre.

The centre, which is being hosted by Airwaves Solutions, opened in May and its main purpose is to allow potential users to test a variety of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) P25-compliant communications solutions to see how they work together.

This gives a no-risk, hands-on experience with equipment before making a major investment. It also allows users to observe firsthand the compatibility, interoperability and flexibility offered by P25-compliant products working together.

Zetron is providing a P25-compliant console. Its Advanced Communication (Acom) console system employs the P25 digital fixed station interface (DFSI) and the P25 console subsystem interface (CSSI) making it compatible with any radio network infrastructure that supports these interfaces.

Radio infrastructure vendors taking part in the centre include Harris, Tait Radio Communications, Auria Wireless, ComGroup, RFI and Icom.
