Boost to Asian supply chain
Radio Frequency Systems (RFS) has expanded its partnership with Malaysian distributor C&C Universal Engineering to establish a bonded warehousing facility in Port Klang.
Served by road, sea and air links, the facility has entered full commercial operation and provides a central logistical hub from which RFS can service its telecom users throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The facility is being run jointly by RFS and C&C, with the latter responsible for management of the warehouse, including site kitting and reconciling of stock and deliveries and with RFS overseeing the distribution of goods in and out of the facility, forecasting supply requirements and shipping to countries outside of Malaysia.
RFS initially signed C&C Universal Engineering as a local distributor at the beginning of last year to boost its component logistics channel in Malaysia. With four main mobile networks operating a mix of GSM 900/1800 and 3G 2100 MHz services, Malaysia is one of the most well-served, mobile-enabled countries in Asia.
RFS has been supplying its mobile and allied wireless systems into the country for several years.
